Hi, I'm Margot...
Like many of my clients, I started my health journey jumping from fad diet to fad diet. I had physical and mental symptoms that I was chasing solutions for, always pulled in different directions due to varying studies and advice.
I went back to school to try to make sense of it to help myself and others I see struggling. The US and its citizens spend so much on healthcare, diets, supplements and are still dying at alarming rates, not seeing relief from medicine alone. I could not accept that this was the answer. That is when I discovered the functional approach and plant-based nutrition. This wasn't someone trying to market to me; they weren't selling cure-all supplements or cure-all solutions. They told me I was unique, that my needs were different, just like I'm telling you now. I took the time to investigate and map out my body systems and my mind, learning about the waves we all ride and how to connect with my body and recognize what it needs at any given time. I know what is happening in my body when I have a craving, I know how to support myself through my cycles. I didn't need a solution. I needed a map. A map of myself. That is the goal for you, too. Here at Emerge, we want to help you know yourself and connect to your body and mind. We want to empower you with the knowledge to support YOURSELF through diet and lifestyle modifications as YOU need them.
